Instructions for use

Neutrarust 661® – is a water based non-hazardous rust converter that is simply painted onto rust and acts as a high quality primer.

Stir well before use. Do not dilute.

Remove flaky rust, loose scale and dirt with thorough wire brushing. Reduce any high peaks of rust. Remove acid, alkali, grease oil and chemicals with detergent water wash then rinse surface with cold water. Paintwork blistered by rust should be scraped down to hard surface. IMPORTANT – DO NOT REMOVE ALL TRACES OF HARD RUST. These areas must be adequately covered with Neutrarust 661®

Before use. pour into non metallic container to avoid the transfer of rust particles into original container. Do not pour unused portion back into original container.

Apply 2 or 3 coats of Neutrarust 661® by brush, spray or roller. Cross brush for best results. Rust will turn to a dark ready-to-paint surface. It can dry to a high gloss finish. Being water-based, Neutrarust 661® adsorbs any surface moisture during its curing process and the strong resin forms a seal.

During application of Neutrarust 661® it changes colour from off white to blue to a ready to paint surface. At the blue stage continue gently brushing for a further 2 minutes and allow to dry for the chemical reaction. Surplus Neutrarust 661® may cause staining of surrounding paintwork if allowed to dry. Remove surplus immediately.

Neutrarust 661® is self priming and will accept most paints. Leave 24-48 hours to dry hard depending on weather conditions before applying undercoat or top coats of paint. Test compatibility before use.

Neutrarust 661® should not be applied to cold metal below 5°C or hot metal above 40°C. But will withstand temperatures between -40°C and 60°C when dried hard. Store between  5°C and 35°C. Not to be used or stored outside of recommended temperatures.  Replace cap after use. Use in adequately ventilated area. Do not store in direct sunlight.
